Apparently, next year in Chinese culture it is the Year of the Dragon, which comes around once every 12 years. Dragons are revered in China and the superstition is that 'Dragon' babies will be more successful. In 2000 and 2012 there were spikes in the birth rate.
However, in the couple years prior to both those previous Dragon years, there were also spikes in the marriage rate. However, the most recent reported marriage rate in China was a record low. So I guess A2M will be interested to see whether or not Dragon superstitions still hold up...
