Well if PRU is not carrying a hedge book then by your reasoning it is the right thing to do , which I agree with
I have been doing the same in the last 4 years with around 1/3 of my liquid assets in cash not shares , been the right move as the markets have been stagnant , we do not know what PRU are planning with its accumulated cash , I am sure they are looking at acquisitions, probably just do not want to make mistakes like SLR sugar loaf and NST polar have done in the last few years .
Prefer PRU bought something back in Australia either Au or base metal , personally to spread geographic risk some good opportunities currently
