ASIC is a regulator in name only, it has NEVER ever attempted to stop price manipulation by the big players. In fact, I saw a program recently that showed the new employees had to sign an agreement that they were working for the benefit of ASIC, that is, not for the investment community or anything to do with those affected by the markets.
In effect ASIC employees are there to look after themselves!!
