    RE CUBA MISSILE CRISIS

    2 consignments of R12 missiles were delivered into Cuba on Sept 8 and Sept 16, 1962, respectively. these are medium range ballistic missiles - range 2000 kms capable of carrying a thermonuclear warhead. whether they were or not (nuclear armed)... no one knows.
