I hired a hybrid Corolla in Perth and drove to Cape Leeuwin along the the coast road and onto Esperance.

Returned to Perth via the main inland highway…got between fuel economy on the coast road than on the highway.

The Corolla is a crap car if u have two people with large bags and backpacks. Boot space is too small.
