It's my experience most people think they are worth more than they are paid. It's also my experience most people can't meet living without a reasonable wage.
While you might be correct as to their remuneration, it's also my experience these people who aren't being paid close to what they believe they can receive elsewhere, will leave. Not ideal.
Looking over executive's salary's, I don't think they are excessive. Lower end if anything IMO. Perhaps this is why they are receiving options and or stock as part of their package.
