yes the fuel prices have been high across most of Europe during the past year. even in Italy around Rome we paid over 2 euro per litre in January. Germany was also high in December last year between 1.8 and 2 euro. Over 2 euro consistently in Norway in March April. For most of this year UK has been around 1.8 to 2 GBP which is even higher with the exchange rate conversion. Freeway prices are even higher than that. so Australian prices are pretty cheap!
