There isn't a fixed definition per se and it does depend on the fund and size of their FUM. While most fundies will have some lower limit for market cap, I feel they are more focused on liquidity as they don't want to move the stock when they buy in, and want to know they can sell out easily.
As their FUM increases, the minimum investable amount in each stock goes up - and that can create an issue for the PM.
