I'm not sure it's that easy. It's not just a matter of increasing the power throughput per device I suspect. Clustering more elements, thus more or bigger chips? Maybe. I'd have to see how the physics worked and I can't quite visualise it. But as separate speaker device elements they would all have to be collimated perfectly to keep the sound in phase. The same would be true to some extent for the array of chips. That is where I would expect DSR to shine. It's the 'effective surface' of the entire array that produces the sound as a whole based on the timing of actuations, and timing is something that electronic devices are brilliant at.
Either way, there are a number of competitors who are seeing MEMS speakers as the 'holy grail' of the 'next big thing in audio'. That reinforces my convictions that AP is a very valuable contender in that race.
