Index funds can’t preempt buying, that would defeat the whole idea of buying an index fund with set constituents. The only funds that would try to front run the inclusion would be managed exposure funds (Australian opportunities aond such) and even those wouldn’t allocate the full allocation pre-inclusion.
As 8horse says, they will start buying Monday 4th until the 18th when the index is rebalanced
