I think this is a likely scenario. They've proved now that the cells work in megabit housing. DM said in the Q&A that geometry is important, so they may want to de-risk an acquirer by demonstrating metrics on smaller geometry (i.e. a non platform lot, since it's now a solved problem to make it a platform lot).
The response I received from the Q&A was that they couldn't answer acquisition questions because there were unknowns, and that they need to keep releasing data.
So 1st and foremost they have a list of PL4 testing to do. Hopefully they can complete the majority of this before the imec meeting. A previous poster made an interesting comment, we don't know who will be at the meeting, it may be a group presentation for the parties under NDA for the full dataset they have. If this is enough to satisfy a takeover then no further development is needed, if not, then we may need another non-PL lot.
