I certainly wouldn't be holding anyone but the RB governor who made those comments to account for those comments.
And more to the point the RBA sets interest rates largely as a driver to control inflation.
Who else saw a global pandemic coming? I certainly didn't!
From what I understand Guy is a mover and shaker who was looking to drive reform at the RBA, although he was the deputy gov I get the idea that he had a more progressive agenda than the board as a whole.
