Almost no one producers SC6 anymore, there is zero reason for any miner to run the process to get their spodumene concentrate to SC6 anymore.
Gone are the days a refiner can demand SC6 or a price discount penalty, it is just simple ratio conversion.
I doubt any OT these days mentions SC6 unless it is for pricing benchmark, currently no penalties apply for SC4.1 to SC6.9
Also note:
SC"X" doesn't make the product battery grade SC4.5 battery grade can be 2 times more costly than SC9 technical grade
SC just means spodumene concentrate and if wrong impurities are present it could be best suited for paint, however most refiners can use paint grade concentrate to make battery chemicals. Hence when battery grade lithium is $4000 plus not only technical grade but general grade floods the market.
