I think that every company that fails hurts investors, and I have no issue at all over people's criticisms of companies that fail due to excesses and wastage. @amb005 found, only 6% of all companies ever listed on the ASX still exist today. That means 94% failed. So, what does it say if you invest on the market? As an older investor, I am aware it carries great risks. I have started businesses from the ground up and been called in to help struggling corporations, in the 80's and 90's. What I can tell you is that it is not an easy job.

I respected your acknowledgement of events that effect companies, but those events, short of GFC's, devastated and still devastate many businesses today. What I do know, from experience, is that if you don't have mature and experienced mgmt teams on the ground, or large parcels of cash, then your risk of surviving is very low when saturation, and sector bubbles burst.

    AGMPL
What can I say about AGMPL? Nothing. It served a purpose, but couldn't deliver in the end. Another sad casualty for sure.

    Re Australia and businesses:
The GED have Australia rated at no. 5 in the world on the TEA index for entrepreneurial activity, but that also means we are most likely to see the highest cases of failures per capita too. If we gamble, which Australia is No. 1 in the world, by the way, (Over 80% of Australian adults engage in gambling of some kind, which is the highest rate of gambling in the world). according to the World Atlas, whether it is a few hundred or 6 figures, there will be a high chance we will lose.

    Mars Mining?
I have no issue with Directors who are across multi directorship as long as they are genuinely working for the best interests of their shareholders. I would say, though not sure, that the ASX watch movement of Directors who roam frequently from one failed delisted, money exhausted company to the next. I am sure we all hope that CGB has got funds in the tank, but I had a sigh of relief when it wasn't delisted.

    Re civil action? Genuine question.
How did you go with ASIC, the ASX or ACCC? I think you mentioned the ACCC directed you elsewhere and ASIC wanted more information. Did you hear back by any chance?
