Some will say Clay and DLE is bad, but that is false, it just mean Clay and DLE is more expensive than Spod or brine pond evaporation.

If a poster says Clay or DLE does work, stop listening to them, they know very little.

Be it spodumene, brine evaporative ponds, dle direct lithium extraction or clay, it is all relatively simple to extract and purify lithium to metal (using metal as reference not a requirement).

It is not how lithium is found or refined that is important but the cost to refine to saleable concentration. It is possible to find spodumene that is more expensive to concentrate than Clay/DLE

Spodumene = ASIC USD $400 to $1200 = less than day from ore extraction to concentrate
Brine = ASIC USD $600 to $1100 = 3 to 8 months depending on weather to concentrate
DLE = ASIC USD $700 to $ 1600 = a day or two from ore brine extraction to concentrate
Clay = ASIC USD $800 to $1500 = a day or two from ore brine extraction to concentrate

At current spot almost any lithium deposit of "size" is commercially viable, the variables are location, currency and wages
