Yeah it obviously cant account for any bad news, but about 80% of stocks ive seen usually follow a similar pattern where the SP returns to the 50 period MA and if it breaks above it will most likely continue up using that as a support until it hits a major resistance and pulls back to the 100, then bounces or goes to the 200.
