I don't believe anyone is doubting that Mardie 'Salt' won't get funding, or finish its construction, @book

The question mark on this project is your bracketed comment - "(and possibly sop)".

The doubts are with Mardie SOP, both its funding and production. This 'value add' from Mardie, from an investment perspective, is pure gold. Or to put it another way, it provides 'the cream on top' of the pie.

It essentially changes Mardie and BCI from a 'great' (Salt only) project, to a 'fantastic' (Salt & SOP) project.

I chose to invest in BCI initially for IO, but then this Mardie project grew from virtually nothing - the Mardie Salt and Potash Project. So I view this investment as two products - Salt and SoP.

If it turns out to be a 'Salt only' project, well, I for one will have to review the extent of my investment in BCI.
