@bellcurve; we're also beginning to learn of the extent to which businesses are just pocketing $Billions in GST instead of passing it on to government - with Howard back-slappers even calling for an increase in GST!
After a decade of 'cutting red tape' the Coalition so emasculated corporate regulators to enable corporations' need to satiate their greed that our economy looks more an more like that of 1950s Argentina with every passing day.
But if small players like myself get anything at all wrong in managing a SMSF that threat of heavy-handed audit / big fines / jail time looms large and real.
Our governments have lost the plot as some of our political leaders organise cushy, well paid corporate roles for themselves beyond their poltical careers.
