The capital raising looks like it will be a relatively small component of this overall deal .

CCC ,as a company ,is undergoing a complete transformation ,and it may be a mistake to compare this to all previous market actions .

Make no mistake ,this is a rare occurence ,and off the top of my head I cant think of anything as a comparison to what we are witnessing .

So to my mind many of you may be selling CCC short .

CCC is/was an explorer ,penny stock .The big boys just dont take these small caps seriously .

The transformation for CCC, is that is morphing into a fully fledged midcap coal producer ,virtually overnight .

Forget what happens in normal capital raisings .There is something much bigger going on here .

Turvey is well respected professional in this industry ,and has had the ears of major brokers and instos in all capital cities of Australia ,I believe .

Not only that, he has been to Asia selling this story .

Now ,if CCC was just your average small cap doing the average cap raising ,we could probably expect the usual yawn from the market .


If the information we have gleaned has been anywhere near accurate, the market cap value for CCC could be in the mid to high hundreds of millions .

This sits squarely in the sights of major fund /insto/ brokers.

Some of you may believe that there will be your normal day trader type antics here .

I am not so sure .Some points to consider will be .

1. when there is actual competition between funds ,day trader antics can be short circuited .Some of the funds will have a price they will be prepared to buy up to ,based on their analysts estimates ,and believ me,the right institution will soak up all the stock that short termers could possibly throw at them .

2.How maany funds will now take CCC seriously ,now that they will be a bona fide mid cap producer ,as opposed to a two bit penny stock .Could be dozens .

3.Could the massive volumes of the last week of trading may have exhausted lage amounts of short term stock sellers already ?

4. There is massive interest in coal as a commodity at the moment due to projected shortages ,and increasing demand .Has CCC blossomed into a sizeable equity at the right time to take the imagination of the investment community ?

5. Every now and then a market darling comes along .CCC has all the ingredients to become one of these market darlings.

6. How underpriced was CCCs assets before this deal came along ,and will current assets be more appreciated now the spotlight is on it ?


I believe we are looking at a different animal ,and it could be a mistake to continue treating CCC as if it will trade as a penny stock .

There will be lots of ups and downs ,but I just think the transformation of CCC could be underestimated by some of you .
