With respect, I don't think that you are looking at the whole picture.
There are many conditions and bridges to cross before the initial acceptance turns into an unconditional reality.
Imo, there is plenty to fight for. You do not appear to be reading between the lines.
I do not believe that it is simply black and white as you are implying.
In business, there is such a saying as win win for each party.
I do not believe that all business is dog eat dog. Well certainly not in my experience.
The offer has not been "finally" accepted. Yes the opening gambit may have been, this is simply the beginning.
