they make a 3% interest on that.
the cost of capital is much higher.
I would prefer they would use that money and hire someone that is able to grow the business instead of having a management team that is hoping for better times for years...
give that person options and let him/her build value.
the value creation would be much higher than the value lost through options.
(in fact we loose more value through the dividend dilution over time).
