i often explain the difference to friends... a regular occurrence in Thailand is at a line up of 20 cars waiting to turn on a light, there'll always be one driver that drives in the adjacent lane all the way to the front and cuts in. its rude but nothing happens. if you did that in Aus people would get out their cars and start throwing punches, it'd be a small riot. i love Thailand.
