Completely wrong.
There was no coup.
And why haven’t you even included the “classic definition”? We just supposed to take your word for it? Sorry, not worth it.
You keep repeating the same Kremlin lies and propaganda yet never discuss all the lead up and events surrounding Yanukovych’s voluntary decision to abandon his presidency and flee Ukraine.
That one single element in a whole list of other decisions, all made by Yanukovych, kill your Kremlin coup lies and propaganda.
Why won’t you present some actual actions that ANYONE took that makes this a coup?
Go through my points here and tell what the US or ANYONE did that makes this a coup.
Do that or stop lying about it.
Lets take a look at each crucial event in detail why this was no coup:
- The broken EU agreement promise by Yanukovych was not orchestrated by the US, this was a decision steeped in typical Putin corruption to buy out Yanukovych to be even more of a Putin puppet than he already was.
- The unparalleled violence meted out to protestors by Yanukovych, causing even greater anti Yanukovych protests, was not orchestrated by the US, this was simply Yanukovych dismal handling of protests against his broken EU promise
- The Titushky thugs used by Yanukovych against Maidan protesters, hardening anti Yanukovych sentiment even further, were not orchestrated by the US, this was Yanukovych’s own idea
- The ridiculous anti protest laws introduced by Yanukovych, derailing his legitimacy further, were not orchestrated by the US, this was simply further poor handling of protests by Yanukovych
- Yanukovych aligned forces shooting dozens of protestors, decimating any legitimacy he had remaining, was not orchestrated by the US, this was further abysmal handling of the protests by Yanukovych
- Yanukovych abandoning his presidency and fleeing to Russia, with Putin’s help, was not orchestrated by the US, this was a deal arranged between two corrupt people namely Yanukovych and Putin
- “Armed groups” did not overtake Kyiv causing Yanukovych to flee, Yanukovych and his allies had already fled, this abandoning by the president caused security services to disappear/withdraw which then allowed protestors to occupy government buildings
- Ukraine’s vote to remove a vacant presidency was Ukraine’s parliament voting, this vote was not orchestrated by the US, the US took no part in this vote to remove a president who had abandoned his position and the US did not force 36 members from Yanukovych’s own party to vote in favour of his removal either.
- The constitutionality of the removal vote is mute as Yanukovych had already abandoned his position the day prior to the vote and there is no constitutional clause stating how to deal with a sitting president who has abandoned their presidency and fled the country, this vote was not orchestrated nor participated in by the US, this was wholly an internal Ukrainian matter
- Elections held a few short months after Yanukovych abandonded his presidency, as was agreed by Yanukovych in a deal with opposition parties the day before he fled, were free and fair, these elections were not orchestrated or influenced in any way by the US
