Pilbera Minerals and Altura is an example of mining the same resource, in their respective adjacent mining leases. The Pilgangoora resource is huge. Both companies did not bother drilling too much around the shared boundary, noting they couldn't mine there given the division of leases amongst companies. So afer PLS bought Altura, PLS drilled around that area and 'unlocked' all that easily accessible lithium.
