Manufacture of gas production plant isn't my area of expertise, but changing suppliers isn't inherently positive/negative.

If they've chosen a company with a superior record of delivering similar plant, to a high standard, that's great. But changing suppliers doesn't really mitigate the risk of a similar problem in future (a mistake requiring months of remedial actions to fix).

You mitigate that risk by checking, documenting, and inspecting, everything as often as reasonably practical.

In an ideal world that would be a complete waste of time and money - but if it saves you once, all those hours of tedium are suddenly worth their weight in gold.
