The thing that seems so strange is why it takes so long to get this into any phase 2 or 3 trial yet we can spend millions going to AMR conferences and presentations talking about how good the product is. Surely if they said nothing and buckled down and started and finished a trial that could be assesses by peers showing actual efficacy in human infection without side effects that would speak for itself. It has been years now of company telling us how good it is and twitter or x announcements, yet to date still not one completed trial showing efficacy in humans? We have to seriously consider why it has cost 28 million dollars to get phase 1 iv result and a free burns trial that was apparently cut short due to lack of trial participants in a condition one would think is rife with bad infections. Is it generally the case that phase 2 and 3 cost more than phase 1??
