That's exactly why I was disappointed to learn this trial is ex-vivo. And struggle to believe that the ex-vivo data will be sufficient to launch a phase 3 trial next year. Can't see the FDA and ethics committees giving that the green light. But I'm no expert when it comes to the FDA.
