The way the share prices of the JV partners responded to yesterday's Announcement seemed a bit odd .
VEN moved up a pip and then thought better of it .
MEL had a significant rise on reasonable volume after having a lot of selling in the last few weeks .
Lots of people working on the well sites so rumours would abound.
Odin had no fraccs , so no fracc fluid to recover and has come on to production after being shut in for an extended time after the short flow test after discovery .
I don't think that the maintenance shut in for September should be an issue for Odin .
Likewise Vali 1 came on line OK and they may be allowed to flare some gas there during the maintenance shut in if they think it is warranted.
Vali 2 and especially Vali 3 unlikely imo to be producing gas until after the maintenance shut in is completed .
So while we will be missing much needed revenue from two wells during the shut in , other than that it should not be a problem .
The problem will be getting Vali 2 and 3 into production but imo that will be after the maintenance shut in .
If they cannot get them into production the big question is how will they fund the next well they drill ?
What will it be ?
Another Odin appraisal well or a cheap to drill and quick to revenue exploration well on one of the shallow oil prospects ?
