Apple is known for playing it safe, possibly too safe.
They are not shy to bring some of the features very late, take the recent USB-C saga for instance.
Other phone companies have been on USB-C for a long time, Apple has milked the lightning cable cow long enough, and now they move away from it and they know they are not the first ones to do it and they do not care, but they sure do make a lot of noise about it.
Their competitive advantage lies elsewhere, and their users usually don't care about 2 hours of extra battery life all that much.

So while Brainchip has a lot of advantages, and are ''first'' to the neuromorphic market, companies those who already have used similar features may not find all that attractive, as you said, ''relearning with a new processor... significant investment''. Risk v Reward.

The premise that Brainchip will be in every company is something that I don't believe in, but IF they eventually manage to find a sales team that is efficient, they might get a few other companies on board. This could in turn force Apple's hand to join the party in time.

User uiux has done some good work in Apple's arena, so I have not given away my hopes completely, but it is a long shot atm with effectively no sales team for us to do any selling.
