You do realise Vanguard, Blackrock and Van Eck are index funds? Those funds don't buy names because they have any particular view on the company, they buy them when they are added to whatever index the fund is matching. Once they have the required number of shares in their fund to match the index, they are done.
Interesting it held up today, I'll be interested to see how it's doing in a week or two. IMO for it to hold up now or go higher it's going to need the whole gold sector to fire up
