its actually not that hard for them to do!! Dont u all remember the ~$1m internal buy back they conducted at 7 times the market price?? All on borrowed $$$....!!
theyve shut sooooo many stores, sacked that many heads, capitalised all that interest, mothballed the nose bleeders, next, simply defer every other payment (mainly a/cs payable and shuffling lease costs and if u have to, defer staff salaries, ex-ceos of course!), pay other peeps with equity issuance instead of ca$h, them BAM!! Chuck the long suffering Mr Facioni & spotlight, i mean, shareholders a bone in the form of a 1c divi (barely $1.7m!!) on the back of "normalised (creative acct)" profitability! It's merely twice that buy back, surely another rabbit can be pulled! Will do wonders for the ailing sp!!
meanwhile scotts just fine, that +$2m salary (ex bonus) a year is worth every cent (8% of the mkt cap->10% if you include equity and LTIs)!
