its absolutely imperative for "pompeo"...the establishment to punish Assange to the maximum possible degree.....as a deterrent to others who would contemplate a similar act.
This was extremely damaging to the US establishment and its allies......
tightening of security protocols, clearance status....to prevent future acts is important as is sending a strong unequivocal message that such acts will be punished to the highest degree.
i cant see how US will roll over on Assange.... would look extremely weak and encourage others to sell state secrets.
and i say this as someone who despises the US establishment.
