A company with 2.8B shares that's just found some pleasing gold mineralisation won't, and absolutely will not got to $1 per share. This would make the market cap 2.8 Billion.
A company with 50M shares, same scenario, could "easily" go from 10c to $1... That would only make the market cap $50 Million.
