Of course there is a large noise to signal ratio, do you believe everything you read?

Its not so much the actual predictions but the METHODS you pick up esp from starred posters. What things to look out for when evaluating XYZ industry. How markets react to key indicators. Chart patterns, fibs, trendlines, candles. Signs of the big boys movements. Its endlessly complex and fascinating.

Sure I took some hits, also some wins, and I am absolutely certain when I say that every loss I made was because of a mistake I can identify. This forum has helped me to no end.

If you lost your money believing the hype from some rampers on a particular stock and sinking your 9k into it without doing your homework, then well, an old expression involving people of certain mental faculties and money.....

If on the other hand you say bought into some junior miners around start of year and got creamed during greece/RSPT then you only have yourself to blame for not sticking to your stops (did you have any?) and not seeing the really obviuos double/triple top XJO patterns, learn that lesson and move on (for the record I lost a motza during that time too, my only regret is that I didn't bail hard enough - I hedged it, bailed only 30-40% of my position - and when we hit bottom I didn't go in as hard as I could have).
