For NCM prior to TO, analysts were projecting yields of 1.57% & 1.48% over yrs June 24 and June 25. So I suggest the NEM yield of around 4.5% unfranked is more attractive. The bottom line is that BOD and large shareholders wouldn't have recommended the deal if they thought it was not in the best interests of themselves and other shareholders. I think we've past the point of deciding whether it's a good deal or not. Simply ask yourself whether or not you want to invest in NEM going forward. If the answer is no then sell on the current rising market.
