"For the purpose of good communication and cooperation, the ČEZ Group and Geomet signed a memorandum with the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně (UJEP) today on cooperation in education and retraining of the professional workforce in the battery chain in the Ústí Region. The goal is thus long-term cooperation in the preparation and implementation of projects in the Ústí Region, in which, in connection with the transformation of the coal regions, there will be the biggest change and reduction of activities in the energy sector, from mining and processing of coal to the production of electricity and heat. "I am convinced that this is a huge chance for the entire Ústí region and for the whole of the Czech Republic. We must not waste it," concluded Prime Minister Petr Fiala."
