Fully agree with you.
I remember Simon speaking at the FFX AGM in May 2022.
At the time ECOWAS had imposed sanctions on Mali and Simon was very enthusiastic about working around these roadblocks and fully expected other roadblocks to be thrown in front of Leo on it's journey. In his view that was what made the position challenging & exciting.
It's not as though he hasn't worked in Africa before, when he was at Illuka he was responsible for building two mineral sands concentrators in Sierra Leone, West Africa. He took on the position with his eyes wide open.
Much of the hard work has been done, Goulamina is on schedule on budget, this argy-bargy by the Government isn't affecting the project, for sure Simon would prefer it all go away - but he didn't expect smooth sailing all the way and would be very unlikely to throw the towel in over these events.
