Summary:

Over the last 6 months, the company Arafura Rare Earths (ARU), have been shorted by regular daily amounts of in excess of 25% of the total daily trading.Refer the last three days 19/09/23 as an example whereby total shares traded where 5.5M and total short sold were 4.5M. Representing 88% short sold.

Hiding under the guise of supplying liquidity does not work here as they are supply and dropping the share price on most days circa 5%. With total share price dropping from 70c to now 25c, and this represents market manipulation via shorting. This company ARU is suggested as important to the government plans for critical minerals. Yet the ASX and ASIC may have missed this excessive shorting.

The average short sold every day for in excess of 6 months is excessive and well above what is required to supply liquidity. This is clearly a manipulation of price to lower for the benefit of institutional and/or larger shareholders to buy into this company, at the expense of retail holders that cannot withsatnd/chance their savings diminish as such.

Shorting has increased form 0% to 6% within this period of total company shares.
