I think you will find the owner of GAM is a fund manager in the USA. They are vending into Wildcat and the process was required.
I should have added in my earlier note that IF Wildcat decided to do a strategic placement to a nearby group, I would imagine the pricing would be at a significant premium to ruling market price.
The last time I read about the cash holdings of these other producers … they would be capable of paying significant premiums to current WC8 price
