I wonder how much of the daily trading volume is garbage between related trading parties.
Why do I wonder that?

Every time I've put in a Bid to buy May shares in the last couple of weeks immediately I've had at least a few hundred thousand shares placed behind me at the same Bid price. And because of the priority rules regarding cross trades many of those shares placed behind me at the same Bid price are taken out before me, and sometimes I've been stranded with the price finally moving up a pip!

IMO the aim, of what I consider pure manipulation (if my theory is correct) is to lull genuine retail investors into a belief that the Bid/Offer price is reasonable. And retail investors ultimately accept it.

As far as i'm concerned i'm of the view the majority of trading in MAY is a manipulation by some large trading entity.
Ok it's a conspiracy theory, but I'm happy to continue buying at these lower prices!
