Bill my old mate. All good Australian innovations end up being owned by overseas companies. And this is an awesome medieval innovation. Then I ask myself, “Why do great Australian innovations get sold?” I am of the view Australia doesn’t have the risk capital that New York offers, to develop and bring to market. The sad reality is Australian superfunds would prefer to place their capital with USA companies that buyout Australian innovations. Then I ask myself why is this so? I guess it’s about security of return and depth of skills.
