Heya - I was very surprised to get the email yesterday addressed to Mrs Zombie talking about Resource Generation - what a blast from the past that was!

Had some interest so phoned the Director / Contact this morning for a quick chat. Essentially, old shareholders of RES (and young ones too) will have shares in the new entity, although from memory there had been consolidation and stuff before it flopped, and when I checked today our holding is less than 100 shares in RES, so two-thirds of FA, but at least we get an email, so that's nice.

It was verbally confirmed to me (DYOR etc etc) that the new company is merely using the empty shell, and there are no assets, more importantly apparently no debts or obligations, and is just an old-fashioned empty shell company. Previous creditors were apparently settled with a few pennies from the Liquidators, and there's no more coal mines or whatever it was digging.

So it's tip in a few more dollars into the IPO (existing shareholders should have had an email yesterday with links and prospectus etc) and off we go on another journey. Or you'll get a few shares in the new entity as an "existing shareholder".

That's all I know, I won't comment on the new company at all other than to say the numbers and business sound reasonable enough, and probably slightly less risk than digging holes in some tin-pot republic somewhere, or whatever the old RES did. Be interested to hear any other thoughts or ideas?
