Remsa (Energy and Mining Resources of Salta) which is the provincially owned resource company of Salta, are building Salta's infrastructure for the lithium mining boom that is to come. This from the local Salta news facebook page:
"*The operation of the new water wells in Tartagal and Salvador Mazza was verified*
Both sources will add flow to the Itiyuro System, which supplies the towns of Tartagal, Mosconi and Aguaray. Based on the agreement signed with Aguas del Norte, Remsa provides financing for these works, which are carried out through the Ministry of Public Works, in the objective to balance the supply matrix between surface and underground sources due to the water emergency declared in Salta due to the scarcity of water throughout the provincial territory. Both organizations work together to carry out the necessary work to remedy this need."
And more infrastructure being built:
"Remsa is betting on the province's mining infrastructure.
This work is carried out between Remsa and Vialidad de la Provincia. By order of Governor Gustavo Sáenz, the construction of the RN 51 Campo Quijano ByPass began, a work financed by Remsa.
The ByPass of RN N°51 involves the execution of a fast, safe and alternative access in Campo Quijano, which will link RN N°51 with RP N°36, to avoid heavy traffic through the center of town. This national route constitutes an obligatory passage for mining and logistics companies based in the capital and in La Puna, Salta, and consolidates the Sico Pass as one of the most important bioceanic corridors, so its optimization is essential to provide a solution. both to the town of Campo Quijano and to the exploitation activities.
On the other hand, the first stage of consolidation of the basic work of RP No. 27 was completed and work to pave the route has already begun. A new section of the route will also be built, from Salar de Pocitos to El Tolar, also financed by Remsa.
“All these works are financed with funds that come from mining, and are put into projects that generate development for all Salteños,” said Alberto Castillo, president of Remsa."
