He's thinking the project TMT have hasn't been feasible under 3 different DFS models over the last 5 years....so if merging the project increases the chances of it getting up and producing...then all the better.
That Ian has set aside his own ego (not becoming the MD of the new AVL) to (hopefully) ensure this thing eventually works for shareholders is a testament to his excellent character IMO. He's a rare breed in the space. Could have paid himself double his current rate the last five years and gone on spruiking a company that was never going to work, (Hello VA, Hello PB), but he's trying to get it going the best way he knows how.
