Your question might be:
"how skilled at charts is the guy making the market move, does she/he draw from the close or the extreme of price. If it is the close, what time division did she/he use?"
At this stage you are probably more skilled and adaptable than he/she is, so dont worry about it.
personally I use the extremes of price because
a) it works better on the horizontal axis
b) It is consistent across time divisions
