@poyndexter; our grandkids are now young adults and the one thing they avoid like the plague is what now passes for "news".

Their World is unlike that of my generation - they speak directly to people overseas via zoom, text and phone and share their perceptions about what's happening instead of relying on MSM etc. If they want information, they search for it but never in a newspaper or even a magazine!

Our son has a senior leadership role with a major corporation. He let's 'MS Edge' select the news snippets for him - never tunes into television news and I doubt has ever bought a newspaper in his entire life. If he wants more insights such as background info on Russian History he gives me a ring.

Small wonder then that the 'Voice to Parliament' referendum is falling on deaf ears and that Peter Dutton's call line about "If you don't know, vote NO" has gained traction. Small wonder also that we're only just seeing Pezzulo being investigated and having to come to terms with the corollary of transferring government to 'contractors' managed by overseas owned corporations. Our media is NOT keeping us informed and is IMO censoring information almost as much as we allege of Russia and China.

As per my earlier post on this thread, I find myself catching up on what's reported by the ICIJ as I despair at the failures of our media and our exploitation by US social media [I boycott all social media except HC].
