Sounds like you are asking them to publish everything they know so that effectively the IP is lost (or devalued) and the company becomes worthless.
as a shareholder, I'm very happy I don't know as much as 4DS, Stanford or imec.
No way you can fairly compare the disclosure process of a tech startup (or any IP-based startup) to a mine... Where is the IP risk in telling the world what you're about to dig out if the ground and sell? If you've got minerals to dig out great - go sell them at the spot price that the market sets... telling the world rarely affects the market price for the mineral.
telling the world about the inner workings of this chip would completely erode 4DS enterprise value.
