On Monday, STO annc'd that their 6 monthly NPAT for 1H2010 2b between A$180-200mil. Their NPAT forecast was $152mil, which they've clearly exceeded.
With 832.55 mil shares on issue, this equates to 21.6-24c/sh earnings (e.g: $180 mil/832.55 mil).
Besides this, I'm expecting an update on a HY dividend later in the month, which explains the steady volume of 5 mil+ for 3 days in a row, most likely Insto's buying for the dividend.
STO went ex-div on 26/8/09 & 24/2/10, so it is close to ex-div time 6 months since Feb'10, most likely 21-24c/sh.
