It is pretty extreme, but I've seen plenty of examples.

The market is manipulated by the BEOT, and they'll take advantage of situations like ours. Unfortunately we had the perfect storm of declining commodity price, delays, delays and delays with misleading guidance (someone might do the usual cry tantrum about me saying it and take the opportunity to kiss JZ's butt hole again, but we all know the carrot was dangled in a misleading way and there's no reason to apologise for and praise the guy who did it).

Once you have that storm of doubt and fear with market sentiment kicking you in the guts at the same time, it's not at all difficult for the FUDsters to move in and freak the market. You couldn't really push the price and company sentiment down much further without the situation actually being bad, but the opportunity was there so they took it, and here we are. Dangling the carrot only just out of reach for too long inevitably results in fear of the carrot not being real or never actually being reachable, and the BEOT is only too willing to take advantage of that situation. However, this storm causes the market to price in an assumption of the carrot not being real, once we do get it, the recovery and change in sentiment should be magnificent. We may well see the BEOT take advantage of the situation and push things in the opposite direction at that time, something to keep in mind when the temptation to become too euphoric arrives (a much more pleasant time than now).
