I attended an investor briefing with Maurice Brand (board memebr of LNG) about 18 months ago and although the main focus was on Gladstone he did indicate that his company was on the lookout for smaller csg companies with potential in queensland in which to take an equity stake.
Most of these started to get a little pricey so this news is fantastic.
It costs hundreds of millions of dollars to set up an LNG plant so why would you bother if there wasn't many years worth of gas available to export.
Looks like the gas is there. Let's hope shareholder value is realised before we are taken over.
